Rodent Control

Mice and rats live among us in the county and within the city. They are everywhere. Keep a look out for droppings around your home. Places to look include: attic, pantry, behind stove, behind fridge, and bottom cabinets. Mice and rats spread disease, spoil food, and cause severe damage to your home. Rats are notorious for chewing up materials within engine compartments and other cables or electrical wiring in and around your home.

Tejas Pest and Weed Control recommends you to do the following three things to keep your home protected:

1) Have a couple outdoor cats. You can rescue a free cat just about anytime of the year and they are inexpensive to care for.

2) Exclude rodents from your home by caulking or patching holes. Place a screen on any vents. Mice can squeeze through a space as small as 1/4 of an inch.

3) Have bait stations inside and outside your home. Bait stations are highly effective in ridding your home of an active infestation and prevent new infestations from reoccurring.
